Earlier this year, AT&T revealed that it would be selling a unique version of the BlackBerry Passport that offered the same specs as the original model, but had rounded corners rather than square ones. Turns out that that may not be the only Passport variant that BlackBerry’s cooked up.

Several photos of a device called the “BlackBerry Oslo” — likely a codename — have made their way online. The images show a device that looks similar to the Passport, offering a large square display and wide physical keyboard. However, this Oslo has a silver outer edge on its face, and its speakers and sensors also appear to be redesigned.

The back of the Oslo has been tweaked from the Passport as well, having a more separate camera and flash and what may be a slightly larger camera housing. Finally, the phone looks to have a textured, rubberized back.

As far as specs go, it’s expected that this BlackBerry Oslo has the same feature set as the regular Passport. That includes a 4.5-inch 1440x1440 display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 3450mAh battery, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, 3GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel camera. 

So what’s up with this Oslo? According to N4BB, this ‘Berry is going to target Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. Exactly why BlackBerry felt the need to redesign the Passport for those parts of the globe remains to be seen, but it’s not a bad-looking version of the phone, and it’s got the rounded bottom corners from the AT&T version of the Passport that ought to make the phone more comfortable to hold.
