With just about one week to go until the Galaxy S6’s debut, Samsung is kicking the hype train into high gear.
Samsung today posted a teaser video that hints at “The Next Galaxy” and is full of cryptic phrases. During the 45-second clip, Samsung says that “metals will flow,” “beauty will be powerful,” “borders will disappear,” “reflections will be free,” “colors will live,” and “the future will be present.”
While nothing is official until Samsung says that it is, these cryptic phrases could hint at some of the features that the Galaxy S6 will feature. For example, “metals will flow” seems like a pretty strong hint that the GS6 will have a metal body, especially since that’s one feature that the rumor mill has highlighted in the past. “Borders will disappear” could be a hint a minimal bezels or the oft-rumored Galaxy Edge with a three-sided display.
Rumors have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge will have 5.1-inch displays, full-metal bodies, and Samsung’s newest processors, possibly this Exynos 7 Octa. Additionally, the Galaxy Edge is expected to have a three-sided display, one side more than the Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung's financials have been a bit rough in recent quarters, and so it’ll be interesting to see how it responds with its next Galaxy S6 flagship. If it’s got a metal body that’s more premium than the GS5, the new device could be off to a good start.
