Just one week after a rumor suggested that Sony may be prepping a purple version of the Xperia Z3, images of that very device have leaked.
Photos of what may be the purple Sony Xperia Z3 have turned up on Chinese site ePrice [Google Translate] and, well, it looks like a purple version of the Xperia Z3. The device has a black front panel, just like the green and copper versions of the Z3, and a purple rear shell.
Outside of its purple duds, this Xperia Z3 is likely going to be the same as the white, black, copper, and green Z3 models that launched in 2014. That means that it’s probably got a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, and a 3100mAh battery.
The purple Xperia Z3 is expected to launch sometime in mid-February, but there's no word on where in the world it'll be sold. With Mobile World Congress kicking off at the start of March, the purple Z3 could be a way for Sony to reinvigorate interest in the Z3, especially if the Xperia Z4 ends up debuting at MWC.
