Rumors around Samsung’s next Galaxy flagship phone have been swirling for months now, with reports suggesting that its codename is “Project Zero.” Now new details on Sammy’s naming plans have surfaced.
According to a report from SamMobile, the next smartphone in Samsung’s Galaxy S line will be known as the “Galaxy S6.” Shocker, I know. Today’s leak also claims that Samsung will offer a “Galaxy S6 Edge” that might have a curved screen, similar to the Galaxy Note Edge.
It’s not terribly surprising to hear that Samsung’s next Galaxy flagship will likely be called the Galaxy S6, especially considering how much recognition the Galaxy S brand has with consumers. Rumors have said that Samsung is developing the Galaxy S6 “from scratch,” though, and so some may have thought that Samsung would create a new brand from scratch as well.
