After the success of DroidDog, our newest Android-themed website, we're at it again with BBerryDog, a website for all things BlackBerry.  Whether it's news, rumors, videos, apps, or giveaways, we'll be providing you with everything you need to make your BlackBerry experience the best it can be!

In true PhoneDog form, we're not going to up and create a website without your input - in fact, we need you to design the BBerryDog logo!  Here's how it works:

1. Submit your creative (awesome, cool, spectacular) logo to bberrydog [at] gmail.com.
2. When the contest ends on October 5th, 2009 at 11:59 PM EST, we'll go through the entries, and pick the ten logos that we like the most.
3. That's where you come in again!  We'll post an article with the top ten logos, and you'll be able to vote for your favorite.
4. When the voting ends, we'll tally up the results and pick one of the top three logos for use on the website.
5. The designer of the logo we choose will win $250, paid via Paypal.

We learned some important things after the DroidDog logo contest, and as a result, we've made the logo design process a bit more organized.  Here are the few minor restrictions that we have in regards to the logo itself:

• We reserve the right to modify the color scheme of the logo after the contest has been completed
• "BBerryDog" or ".com" do not have to appear in the logo - excercise those creative minds!
• We'll narrow down the entries to ten, which will be posted on the website for your voting pleasure.  
• The image should look good in a 200 x 110 pixel space and be white around the edges.  We'll also need to be able to blow it up for marketing purposes, so it needs to look equally great at higher resolutions.  Vector, high-resolution .jpg, or something else - it's all up to you.

For record-keeping purposes and in fairness to everyone involved, images linked in the comments section but not e-mailed to the address above will NOT be considered.  We DO want you to ask general questions in the comments section below, however.  That way, we'll be able to respond in a way that everyone will see.

Again, the contest ends on October 5th, 2009 at 11:59 PM EST, so be sure to get those logo entries in as quickly as possible!

***UPDATE*** (September 28, 2009) - After researching and consulting with PhoneDog HQ, the BlackBerry logo CANNOT be used in any way in the BBerryDog logo design, due to copyright laws (see the image below).  For those that have already submitted logo designs containing the BlackBerry logo, please accept my apologies and feel free to resubmit as many logos as you'd like!

Anything in the image above, including "BlackBerry" or the logo (seven "berries") cannot be used in the BBerryDog logo due to copyright laws.
