It's not the slimmest cameraphone in the world, but it ain't nothin' to sneeze at, either: BenQ's new T60 mobile phone packs a 3.2MP camera into a mere 8.9mm of thickness, adding a 2.2 inch QVGA display for good measure. According to the BenQ press release, the T60 will also feature a "high quality multimedia player" and "chic aesthetics" along the lines of a glossy stainless steel back panel and "diamond sliced" 5-way D-pad.
The T60 is a GSM 900/1800 band phone not destined for the US, though it should work in certain parts of the country on AT&T or T-Mobile if you're willing to import it once it ships to Turkey and a few other parts of the world later this month. In case you're wondering, Engadget Mobile's got the scoop on LG's forthcoming 5MP Black Label handset which promises an even smaller MP-to-mm ratio than the T60. The LG promises 5MP of photo goodness in a profile thinner than Samsung's G600, which at a mere 14.9mm from front to back is the current slim king of the multi-megapixel supermodels.
