Apple's got an event scheduled for Sept. 10 at which the company is widely expected to introduce the iPhone 5S, a device that leaks have suggested will look fairly similar to the iPhone 5. According to a new report, though, the company is currently testing iPhone models that are considerably larger.
Sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal say that Apple is currently trying out iPhone hardware with displays that range in size from 4.8 inches all the way up to 6 inches. Apple has been known to have several different iPhone prototypes kicking around its labs, but the WSJ's tipsters claim that the firm "appears more willing" to move forward with these larger products than it has been in the past. Apple component suppliers say that the Cupertino firm has been especially interested in tests involving a 4.8-inch display.
