Just in case those photos showing a Galaxy S 4 mini in the wild weren't enough to convince you that Samsung has a miniaturized Galaxy S 4 in the works, a new report has surfaced today that backs up the claims that such a device is indeed coming. Deep within a profile on Samsung and how the company rose to dominance in the smartphone world, Bloomberg Businessweek slips in a brief mention of a handset referred to as the "S 4 mini," saying that the phone will be going on sale sometime "soon after" the late April launch of the regular Galaxy S 4.

No other details of the Galaxy S 4 mini are revealed in this latest report, but the aforementioned image leak also claimed to reveal a few of the still-rumored device's spec details. According to the Galaxy S 4 mini will feature a 4.3-inch qHD (960x540) Super AMOLED display and 1.6GHz dual-core processor, both of which are bumps up from the Galaxy S III mini's 4-inch 800x480 display and 1GHz dual-core chip.

If the Galaxy S 4 mini's purported spec list holds true, then the device will be a mid-range offering for folks that want the styling of the Galaxy S 4 but in a smaller package, just like the Galaxy S III mini was to the original Galaxy S III. Thankfully, while Bloomberg's claim that the Galaxy S 4 mini will launch "soon after" the Galaxy S 4 is rather vague, it suggests that anyone interested in the S 4 mini won't have to endure the same five month timeframe that split the announcements of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S III mini. Here's to hoping that we get some official word on the miniaturized version of the Galaxy S 4 soon.
