Both AT&T and Verizon have begun offering shared data plans so far this year, and it looks like one more carrier will be introducing shareable buckets of bytes before the end of 2012. C Spire Wireless has announced that it will launch SHARED Data plans on December 3. The new offerings will allow customers to share a single data allotment between 10 different devices, including smartphones and tablets, and will also include video streaming and mobile hotspot as well as unlimited minutes and messaging.

When it comes to pricing, customers can expect to pay $20 per month for any USB modems or tablets attached to a SHARED Data plan, $30 for feature phones and $40 for smartphones. The data buckets themselves start out at $50 per month for 1GB and go up to $150 for 20GB, though C Spire says that larger quantities of data can be purchased if needed. There are also special SHARED Data plans for business customers that start at 1GB for $50 and go up to 70GB for $600.

C Spire notes that it will alert customers if they are nearing the limit of their monthly data allotment and will allow them to top up the data bucket as needed. These "data passes" range in size from 500MB for $10 up to 5GB for $75. It's also worth noting that C Spire will continue to offer individual Choice D and Choice D+ plans as well as a selection of family plans. C Spire's new SHARED Data offerings look like they could be worth considering for customers with several data-hungry devices. Not everyone will need the unlimited minutes and messaging that the SHARED plans include, though, so it's nice to see that the Choice plans will also be sticking around.
