Last year when pre-ordering was open for the Apple iPhone 4S around 600,000 took part and registered early. After millions more have sold, the iPhone 4S remains to be one of the World's most popular devices. This is demonstrated each week in the charts of the Official Smartphone Rankings. Today we feature what Zach O'Brien has to say about it.
Perfection minus the glass back. By Zach O'Brien, posted: May 21
As a student, I always want the best phone. My friend got the iPhone 4, and I had to have it. At that time, I had the Droid X2, which happened to flop and Verizon replaced it with a free iPhone 4S. So I got what I wanted. The transition from Android to iOS was quite different. When I went to iOS, I had a flawless experience with a few minor issues here and there (what operating system doesn't have 'em). But it felt good that my phone never randomly shut off on me randomly unlike prior Droids. I've had experience with all types of Android overlays: HTC Sense 3.5, Touchwiz, and Motoblur (whatever they call it these days). The only gripe I have is the durability, I love the sleekness of the device, but hate that it is easily breakable. Did you think a HS student would know so much about tech news? Overall, a 4.6/5
Display 5/5
Battery Life 4/5
Apps & Media Support 5/5
Reception & Call Quality 5/5
Design/Form Factor 4/5
Overall 4.6
