Earlier this week, Sprint revealed that it'll begin delivering the HTC EVO 4G LTE to pre-order customers on or around May 24th, and now a leaked photo has shown that Best Buy shoppers may be getting a similar treatment. According to a memo sent to Android Central, Sprint is shipping EVO 4G LTE inventory to Best Buy stores on May 24th or 25th that's meant to fulfill pre-orders. The memo notes that the quantities that the stores will receive are based on the number of pre-orders placed as of May 21st, so there may be some folks that pre-ordered after the 21st that won't get a unit from these shipments. Any extra inventory (say, from cancelled orders) can't be sold to anyone without a pre-order, but Best Buy notes that pre-sales will remain open for now.
When Sprint announced the news that pre-order customers would begin getting their EVO 4G LTEs on May 24th, it didn't have any news to share about a new official launch date for the device, and unfortunately that's also the case with Best Buy. Still, it's good to see that more pre-order folk will soon be getting their mitts on the new EVO, and hopefully the fact that pre-sale shipments are going out means that a full launch isn't too far off. Any of you place a pre-order for an EVO 4G LTE at your local Best Buy?
