Looks like a handful of T-Mobile handsets are nearing the end of their run on store shelves. A new photo sent to our amigos at TmoNews has revealed that the HTC Amaze 4G, HTC Sensation 4G, LG DoublePlay, LG myTouch and LG myTouch Q have been marked as "Nearing EOL," also known as end-of-life. Now that those five handsets have been marked as EOL, we'll slowly see them disappear from shelves as the inventory at stores and warehouses depletes and doesn't get replenished.
This news is interesting because the HTC-made handsets on the list are two of T-Mobile's top end Android devices. With both the Amaze 4G and Sensation 4G hitting EOL status in the coming weeks, it seems reasonable to think that T-Mobile would have a new high-end HTC handset to replace them. TmoNews hasn't gotten any word yet on what may be in T-Mobile's plans for the coming year, but a rumor from earlier this month suggested that one of the devices in the Magenta pipeline could be the HTC Ville, which is said to feature a 4.3-inch 960x540 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a very thin body. Whether or not the Ville is actually T-Mobile-bound is still up in the air, but we'll keep an eye out for more details on it and any other upcoming Magenta handsets and pass along anything we find.
