We've heard rumors that the mythical Verizon iPhone could finally, finally make its debut later this month or early February, and now some more evidence of that launch windows has emerged. According to "people familiar with the company's retail plans," Apple has issued a vacation blackout beginning the last week of January and lasting through the first half of February. This blackout prevents all retail employees without seniority from taking vacation days during the three week period. Additionally, it's said that Apple has held on to extra holiday staff to help out during this period.
If true, a lengthy vacation blackout like this could indicate a huge product launch, like we've seen with iPhone releases in the past. Considering that the Verizon iPhone is rumored to be unveiled later this month, there's a good chance that the vacation block is related to that device. What's your take on all the Verizon iPhone rumors? Do you think that the device is actually going to launch soon?
