Just a few days ago we heard that Gingerbread was going to finally see the light of day on November 11th, and today a member of the Open Handset Alliance made that rumor some legs.  OHA member Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez recently tweeted the following statement: "Preparen sus Nexus One (Developer version) para la actualización vía OTA de Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) para los próximos días :-D"  For those of us that are less than fluent in Spanish, that translates to: "Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the next few days."

Since the Nexus Two has supposedly been delayed due to hardware issues, it would make sense that the Nexus One would be the first to see Google's newest dessert.  After all, it is the newest, most official Android dev phone.  Interestingly, there hasn't been any word of a press conference or announcement from Google scheduled this week.  You would think that if they were planning to launch the latest iteration of Android, which is said to be bringing quite a few important changes, that they'd want to gather everyone in a giant room to help spread the news.   November 11th is only a few days away, so we don't have long to find out if we'll be getting a Gingerbread cookie this week or not.  Do you all think that Android 2.3 will land soon, or are we still a ways off?
