I wasn't able to get to Google I/O for an early look at what the search giant has in mind for the coming year, but Engadget is there, and they've sent out some cool pix depicting Android Donut (2.0).
Seen below are Android search, which can search the web as well as the contents of the phone - such as contacts; stock translation; and something I've always thought of as a useless novelty: handwriting recognition. Am I the only one? I guess I should give it a shot, considering that the last time I tried it was on an original Handspring Visor. My orange model was pretty hot at the time. Still without a stylus, it seems impossible.
