Poor Paris Hilton. The celebrity heiress has long been relegated to using cell phones adorned with fake diamonds. (Actually, that makes some sense. The socialite-turned-entertainer loses her handset ? and maybe her brain ? every other week.)
But for the real thing, trust-fund babies and the nouveau riche alike turn to Knalihs Athem.
Silly me ? I thought showy displays of excess died when the economy went south. And yet, the luxury designer and jeweler just came out with two new diamond-packed offerings for the BlackBerry Bold and the Nokia 8800.
These custom phones ? The Diamond Blackberry Bold (BlackBeauty) and The Diamond Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte (SnowWhite) ? can be decorated with pink, yellow, black, champagne and white inlaid diamonds.
But what's the point of spending a fortune if you can't customize? To satisfy even the most ostentatious whim, the company can personalize the device with initials, a lucky number, logos, your puppy's name or just about anything else you want.
Nokia owners get the advantage of having more room on their handsets to pimp out than the BlackBerry owners. The poor little smartphone workhorse has to make do with only a small amount of bling.
There's no base price listed on the website, so I guess if you have to ask how much it costs, you clearly can't afford it.
