As if seven new phones and two new product lines weren't enough for one trade show, word is Sony Ericsson may be unleashing two more smartphones on us at a joint media event with UIQ and Motorola Wednesday in Barcelona. The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog and a few in-the-know posters on the Esato forums are all but banking on the P5i and "Beibei" UIQ-based smartphones seeing their unveiling tomorrow.
What's extra-crazy about this rumor is that the P5i promises to be everything the just-announced Xperia X1 superphone is, and then some. And even though it seems outlandish that SE would drop all these phones - including their first Windows Mobile device - on the world on a Monday and then follow it up with what may well be an even higher-tech phone two days later, it does make some sense that SE wouldn't leave MWC without unleashing a new flagship UIQ device, given their ownership stake in the platform.
I guess we'll see tomorrow. Meantime, amuse yourselves with the rumors and teases over at Esato from Esato.com' target=_blank>here.
