Apple's iPad has already invaded the shelves of both Amazon, Best Buy, and Target, and now it can add another store to the list. A leaked email has revealed that Walmart will be receiving all six iPad models and several accessories, including the camera connect kit and AppleCare. As you can see in the photo above, some Walmart stores have already begun putting their iPads out on shelves. Those stores that haven't already stocked the device are expected to begin selling them next week, with 1,000 stores stocking the iPad by the end of October and another 800 at the end of November.
It's interesting how the iPad has filtering into different retail stores lately, and the expanded availability should definitely help pump up sales this holiday season. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab launching on all four carriers and the iPad infiltrating Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, it'll be interesting to compare how many units of each will be moved. Considering that the off-contract Galaxy Tab looks like it'll be priced competitively with the lower-end iPads, it should definitely be an interesting battle. The tablet wars are heating up!
