Samsung's Galaxy A family of affordable phones is growing today with two new entires that both come packing big batteries.
The Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s are both now official. The Galaxy A12 is packing a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen with waterdrop notch and 8MP selfie camera, and it's got a whopping 5000mAh battery, too. Samsung has also included 15W fast charging support to help you refill that big battery quickly when it does finally run down.
Around back is a quad camera array that includes a 48MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP ultra wide cam, plus 2MP macro and depth cameras. There's a side-mounted fingerprint reader included, too.
Inside you'll find an octa-core MediaTek MT6765 processor with four cores closed at 1.8GHz and four at 2.3GHz. RAM options include 3/4/6GB, and storage comes in 32/64/128GB sizes. There's a microSD card slot, too, if that included storage isn't enough for your needs.
And then there's the Samsung Galaxy A02s. This phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ display and waterdrop notch, too, but its selfie camera comes in at 5MP. The Galaxy A02s is equipped with the same 5000mAh battery and 15W fast charging support as its A12 sibling.
The Galaxy A02s's triple rear camera setup includes 13MP main, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro cams. And inside is a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy A12 will be the first of this pair to market, launching in Europe in January 2021. Pricing is expected to come in at €179 EUR ($213 USD) for the 64GB version while the 128GB model will cost €199 EUR ($236 USD).
The Galaxy A02s will arrive one month later in February 2021 for €150 EUR ($178 USD).
