Apple also announced its earnings for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2020. It earned $64.7 billion in revenue, which is slightly higher than its revenue in the year-ago quarter. This is also a September quarter revenue record for Apple.
The iPhone brought in $26.4 billion in revenue for Q4 2020, down from $33.4 billion one year ago. That decrease is likely related to Apple's later iPhone 12 launch this year. Last year, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro both launched before the end of Q4 2019, but this year the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were released a couple of weeks after Q4 2020 ended.
iPad revenue saw a big increase this quarter, going from $4.6 billion in Q4 2019 to $6.8 billion in Q4 2020. The Wearables, Home, and Accessories category grew year-over-year, too, finishing at $7.9 billion for Q4 2020. Apple's Services category brought in $14.5 billion in revenue for Q4 2020, an increase of $2 billion compared to one year ago.
