Samsung is one of the only major Android device makers that's still churning out new tablets on a regular basis, and today Samsung is expanding its tablet lineup again.

The Galaxy Tab Active Pro is a new Android tablet with a ruggedized case. It meets the MIL-STD-810G military standard certification which means that it can withstand excessive pressure, temperatures, vibrations, and drops, and it's got IP68 water and dust resistance.

The included S Pen features the same IP68 resistance, and Samsung says that the stylus works even on a wet display and that the screen works while you're wearing gloves, too.

Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Tab Active Pro as a business-friendly tablet, and so it's also packing in support for its DeX feature that lets you connect the tablet to a monitor or turn the tablet into a PC workstation with a keyboard. POGO pins let you attach a keyboard or other accessory, and the included NFC chip makes the Galaxy Tab Active Pro mPOS-ready, which means you can scan barcodes to secure payments or manage inventory.

When it comes to raw specs, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro is equipped with a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 display, Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage along with a microSD card slot. There are 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras, too, as well as USB-C, a fingerprint reader, a 7600mAh battery, and Android Pie.

The Galaxy Tab Active Pro is now available through Samsung's IT reseller partner channel for $599.99, but Samsung tells The Verge that it'll be available through the company's website soon. An LTE-enabled model is launching on November 15th for $679.99.
