Pandora is one of the best-known music streaming services on the market, and it recently gained a couple of notable new features.
First up, Pandora now offers discounted Pandora Premium plans for students and members of the military. The Pandora Student Plan comes with a 60-day free trial and is priced at $4.99 per month, down from its normal $9.99 per month pricing.
The Pandora Military Plan includes a 60-day free trial and is priced at $7.99 per month. It's available to those with qualified military status, which includes active duty, reservists, retirees, veterans, and military family.
Both of the student and military plans include the full package of Pandora Premium features. They've got ad-free listening, on-demand playback, the ability to create and share playlists, personalized playlists and stations, higher quality audio, and unlimited skips and offline listening.
Pandora has also announced that its service is now integrated with Waze on iOS. This means that you after you connect Pandora with Waze, you can use the embedded audio player in the Waze app to play music from Pandora. You can also see the next step of your Waze navigation in the Pandora app. This feature rolled out to Android users last year.
To enable Pandora and Waze integration, click on the music icon in the top right corner the map in the Waze app. Then select the Pandora icon and go from there.
Finally, Pandora says that it's added 15 new Pandora Stories from celebrities who visit SiriusXM studios. These include celebrities talking about their favorite songs and then let you listen to those tunes. The 15 new Pandora Stories are from musicians like Adele, Lady Gaga, Blake Shelton, Queen, Fall Out Boy, Stevie Nicks, Mariah Carey, Mumford and Sons, Phil Collins, and others.
