LG Wing and its swiveling design teased ahead of September 14 reveal

After leaking out a couple of times recently, it looks like the LG Wing may be getting an official introduction soon.

LG will make an announcement on September 14 for the first smartphone in its new Explorer Project lineup. In the teaser video for the announcement, we can see two rectangles that form a "T", just like the LG Wing that we've seen leak recently.

The video also shows the two display-shaped rectangles swiveling together, like in a way that you'd hide the secondary display of the LG Wing when it's not in use.

LG isn't saying much about its new smartphone yet, but it does say that this Explorer Project is a "new direction in the alignment strategy" of LG phones.

"The Explorer Project will focus solely on new usability that is discovered with innovative designs while LG’s new Universal Line will be the company’s lineup of competitive devices that focus on consumer lifestyles, such as LG Velvet," LG explains.

Rumors have hinted that the LG Wing will have a 6.8-inch main display and a 4-inch secondary screen with a 1:1 aspect ratio. This second display will help you multitask, doing things like watching videos while browsing the web on the other display, and you'll be able to swivel it away when you're not using it.

Also said to be included with the LG Wing is a triple rear camera setup with 64MP main cam, a Snapdragon 700-series processor, and 5G support. The LG Wing will reportedly launch in the US this fall with a price around $1,000.
