Samsung accidentally leaked its Galaxy Buds Live today, confirming several of the details that we've been hearing about the truly wireless earbuds over the past couple of months. There were still a couple of details that hadn't leaked yet, like the price, but now all of that info has also come out.
A leak today has surfaced with more images of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live and a few more tidbits of info on them. WinFuture has shared images of all three Buds Live colors — Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic White — and another render that gives us a clear look at the charging case.
The Galaxy Buds Live are said to each have a 12mm driver plus sound optimized by AKG. As we learned earlier today, active noise canceling will be included, too, and each bean-shaped earbud purportedly has two internal and one external microphone.
Each bud purportedly weighs 5.6 grams (0.19 ounces), and they come with rubber attachments in three sizes to help them stay in your ear. When it comes to controlling your music, the Buds Live have a capacitive surface on their outer shell to let you change volume, control playback, and answer incoming calls.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live will reportedly get you 7.5 hours of listening on a single charge. To reach that figure, though, you'll have to disable both active noise canceling and the Always On Mic, which listens for Bixby voice commands. With both features activated, it's expected that you'll get 5.5 hours of battery life.
The included charging case will reportedly help you get a total of 28 hours of battery life before you need to plug in and recharge. Support for wired USB-C charging and wireless Qi charging is included. And if you're in a hurry, you'll purportedly be able to get 35 minutes of battery life for listening to music in just 3 minutes of charging.
Finally, WinFuture's Roland Quandt says that the Galaxy Buds Live will sell for $169 in the US. That's $20 more than the Galaxy Buds+ that launched earlier this year. Looking at the competition, that price is $10 less than Google's new Pixel Buds which don't feature active noise canceling, $30 less than Apple's AirPods with Wireless Charging Case (which also lack ANC), and $80 less than the AirPods Pro that come with ANC.
