Pixel 3a now out of stock at the Google Store

It looks like some more evidence of an impending Google Pixel 4a launch has surfaced.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL are out of stock at most retailers around the web. As spotted by 9to5Google, the Google Store lists both models as "Out of stock", and you can't get either model from Google Fi, either.

Looking at other retailers, B&H Photo & Video says the Pixel 3a is discontinued but does still have some stock of the Pixel 3a XL. Amazon isn't selling either model, though there are some third-parties offering the Pixel 3a and 3a XL through Amazon. Best Buy actually does have both devices in stock but at a discounted price.

Finally, there are the carriers. Verizon doesn't have either the Pixel 3a or 3a XL available in its online store and T-Mobile won't let you buy online, either, asking you to instead call its customer support line.

All of this "Out of stock" listings are just the latest indicator that the Pixel 4a might be getting close to launch. We recently saw images of the Pixel 4a's retail box, and the device was certified for the US by the FCC just last week. The thing is that we still don't know when the Pixel 4a is going to actually be released, but perhaps the Google Store going out of stock of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL is a hint that the Pixel 4a may finally be close.

UPDATE: Google appears to have confirmed that the Pixel 3a has been discontinued, telling 9to5Google that the Google Store has "sold through its inventory and completed sales of the Pixel 3a." Now we wait for the Pixel 4a.
