One week after the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 began getting its One UI 2.1 update, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have started getting it, too.
Owners of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have confirmed that they've received the One UI 2.1 update from Samsung. Right now it looks like the update has only starting going out in Korea and Germany, but now that the updates have begun, we could see the update arrive in other parts of the world soon.
Galaxy S9 owners in Korea are getting version G960NKSU3ETF4 while S9+ owners are receiving version G965NKSU3ETF4. A Galaxy S9 owner in Germany reports that their update is version G960FXXU9ETF5.
The One UI 2.1 update brings with it several new features found on newer Galaxy flagships. They include camera features like Single Take, which captures a scene with multiple lenses and modes and uses AI to recommend the best shot to you, plus a Pro Video mode that lets you tweak settings related to ISO, shutter speed, and exposure level when you're recording video.
There's also a new Quick Share feature that's similar to Apple's AirDrop, letting you quickly beam files to other Samsung phones near you. Meanwhile, Music Share allows you to extend your phone's Bluetooth audio connection to another device.
These updates also bring the June 2020 Android security patches.
