Days after we heard that the upcoming Pixel 4a may cost $349, Google may have confirmed that detail and teased a possible price for the Pixel 5, too.
A Google survey sent to Reddit user Pop-Quiz_Kid asks "If these were your only options, which of these Google Pixel smartphones would you prefer to buy?" The survey then goes on to describe two phones that may be the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5.
The first is a "Google Pixel Phone" that is described as a "radically helpful phone from Google" with a plastic body and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This device is listed with a starting price of $349.
The second device is described as a "Premium Google Pixel Phone" that has "first access to the latest Google features and innovation" and offers a "best in class camera, wireless charging and water resistance". This device's is priced starting at $699.
While neither the Pixel 4a nor the Pixel 5 are explicitly mentioned by Google, the description of the "Google Pixel Phone" lines up with what we've learned about the Pixel 4a so far through leaks. We've seen a 3.5mm headphone jack, we've heard about the $349 price.
Meanwhile, we've heard rumblings that the Pixel 5 could be powered by a Snapdragon 765 processor, not Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865. If that's the case, that move could help Google to lower the price of its flagship Pixel 5 to around $699 rather than the $799 starting price of the Pixel 4.
