OnePlus reveals 5 new features coming to OxygenOS, including Always-on Display

Earlier this year, OnePlus launched a new program called IDEAS that was meant to help OnePlus users give feedback on how to improve the company's phones. Now five of those ideas will be turned into reality.

OnePlus today confirmed that it's adopting five features suggested by its community and turning them into OxygenOS features. The first is Always-on Display, with development of the feature to be finished in June and the feature to be added to OnePlus's beta updates in August or September.

Also added to the OxygenOS roadmap is the ability to enable a fingerprint lock for hidden pictures in the gallery, which should give users a bit of extra privacy. OnePlus is also adopting a feature that'll play a sound when your phone's battery is fully charged.

OnePlus says that it's planning to add the ability to use folders within its app drawer, too, as well as improving Zen Mode with more essential features.

We don't yet know when all of these features will actually be added to OxygenOS or which phones will be getting which features. Still, it's great to see OnePlus taking feedback from its community of users and adopting features submitted by them.
