iOS 13.4 beta 4 update released by Apple

Another iOS 13.4 beta has arrived.

Apple today released iOS 13.4 beta 4 and iPadOS 13.4 beta 4 updates (via MacRumors). These releases are available to registered developers, but we should be public beta updates for people in the Apple Beta Software Program in the coming days.

The update to iOS 13.4 adds several new features. Those include an updated design for the Mail app that moves the delete button away from the reply button, making it harder for you to accidentally delete a message, and also adding folder and compose buttons.

Also included in the update are nine new Animoji and Memoji stickers, new controls for calls and third-party navigation apps in CarPlay, new keyboard shortcuts for the Photos app, and new Settings in the TV app that'll give you more control over streaming and downloading over Wi-Fi and cellular, including a data saver option for cellular streaming.

iOS 13.4 hints at a couple of new features that may be added soon to iOS, too. A new CarKey API hints at the ability to use your iPhone to unlock, lock, and start your car over NFC. There's also code in iOS 13.4 that hints at an over the air OS recovery feature that'd let you restore an iPhone or iPad without the need for a computer.

Apple hasn't said when iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 will be released to the public, but we typically see four to six beta versions before the public launch. That means we could see a general release of iOS 13.4 in the coming weeks.
