Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T hit with outages this morning

All four major U.S. carriers had a bit of a rough morning.

Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T customers have been reporting on Down Detector and Twitter that the carriers suffered from a network outage this morning. The issues seem to have been concentrated along the East Coast, with the Carolinas being the hardest hit with problems.

Verizon has confirmed that it's having some problems in the Carolinas, telling one customer that Charter Communications made a change to its network of fiber lines this morning that impacted many of its cell sites. Verizon uses Charter's fiber lines to carry info between cell sites and the core network in that area.

Charter is said to be "working quickly" to fix the problem. However, there's been no official announcement yet that the issue has been completely resolved.

The good news is that the issues appear to be subsiding, with the Down Detector reports falling back to normal over the past hour or so. Did you have any problems with your wireless service this morning?
