After showing off a concept phone with special glass and disappearing rear cameras this week, OnePlus could be planning to show off some new tech for the other side of a smartphone next week.
OnePlus is hosting a screen technology event in China on January 13th. An invitation for the event was posted to Weibo (via FoneArena) that confirms the timing of the event and the fact that it's being held by OnePlus, but there aren't many other details known about what'll be announced.
It's possible that OnePlus will announce a new 120Hz screen at this event. The OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T are both equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate display, and so bumping that up to a 120Hz refresh rate could make for a nice upgrade for the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro.
