Samsung Galaxy S11e renders hint at triple rear camera setup

One day after the Galaxy S11 design leaked, we're getting a peek at the smaller Galaxy S11e, too.

New renders have surfaced that claim to show the Galaxy S11e, and there are a few big changes in this new model compared to last year's Galaxy S10e. One example of that is the display, which Pricebaba and OnLeaks say will have curved edges, unlike the Galaxy S10e which had a flat display.

The S11e is also said to have a 6.2 or 6.3-inch screen, up from the 5.8-inch display on the S10e. And finally, the Galaxy S11e is expected to have a centered hole-punch rather than the Galaxy S10e's hole-punch that was placed in the upper right corner of the screen.

Like the Galaxy S11, the S11e will reportedly have a rectangular rear camera housing. These S11e renders show three rear cameras, up from the two found on the S10e.

Other details shown in these renders include a volume rocker and power button on the right side of the phone and a bare left side. That suggests that the S11e could have an in-display fingerprint sensor, which would be a change from the S10e and its side-mounted fingerprint reader. There's a USB-C port on the bottom and no sign of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The dimensions of the Galaxy S11e are said to be 151.7 x 69.1 x 7.9mm. To compare, the Galaxy S10e measures 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9mm.

The Galaxy S10e was the affordable version of Samsung's Galaxy S10 flagship series of phones, and so it's likely that this S11e will also be the more affordable version of next year's flagship Samsung phones. Adding a third rear camera would make for a nice addition to the S11e, though there may be some folks who are frustrated about some of the other changes, like the move from a flat screen to a curved edge display or the lack of a headphone jack.
