Google Stadia gains 10 more launch day games

On the eve of the Google Stadia launch, there's some good news for early adopters of the new gaming service.

Google has confirmed that the Stadia launch lineup has nearly doubled. Last week, Google said that Stadia would have 12 games available on November 19th, but now Google has announced that there will be 22 games ready to play when Stadia goes live tomorrow.

Here's the full list of games that'll be available when Stadia launches:

Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2, Destiny 2: The Collection, Farming Simulator 2019, Final Fantasy XV, Football Manager 2020, Grid 2019, Gylt, Just Dance 2020, Kine, Metro Exodus, Mortal Kombat 11, NBA 2K20, Rage 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Red Dead Redemption 2, Samurai Shodown, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Thumper, Tomb Raider, Trials Rising, Wolfenstein: Youngblood

This news means that some of the games that were expected to hit Stadia by the end of 2019 have been moved up to launch day. The following titles are still expected to hit Stadia before the end of the year:

Borderlands 3, Darksiders Genesis, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Trials Rising

Also of note is that Samurai Shodown will be available as a free title for Stadia Pro subscribers along with Destiny 2: The Collection. Stadia Pro is a $9.99 per month subscription that gets you those two free games in addition to the ability to stream games at up to 4K HDR quality at 60 frames per second and with 5.1 surround sound.

It's good to see Google expanding Stadia's launch lineup and giving early adopters more titles to play on day one, especially with the news that some of Stadia's features won't be available at launch. The original batch of 12 titles wasn't exactly a huge selection, so the new nearly-doubled lineup will give early Stadia players more to do with the service.
