Sony has confirmed which of its Xperia smartphones will be updated to Android 10.
Sony says that eight Xperia devices will receive Android 10. The first to get the update will be the Xperia 1 and Xperia 5, with those rollouts expected to begin in December.
Other Xperia devices being updated to Android 10 include the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus, the XZ2, the XZ2 Compact, the XZ2 Premium, and the XZ3. Sony says these updates should begin rolling out from "early 2020 onwards".
Sony doesn't say much about the features that'll be included in the Android 10 updates for its Xperia phones, but we do know that the standard Android 10 update comes with improved gesture navigation, a system-wide dark theme, improved privacy controls like the ability to control when your location is shared with apps, and Smart Reply, a feature that offers recommended actions for incoming messages.
