Another OnePlus 7T feature has been confirmed ahead of the device's reveal next week.
The OnePlus 7T will include Warp Charge 30T fast charging, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed. Warp Charge 30T offers 30W charging, which is the same as Warp Charge 30 in the OnePlus 7 Pro, but Warp Charge 30T is a bit speedier. "You can charge the phone at 23% faster speeds, even while using the device," Lau said of Warp Charge 30T in an interview with TechRadar.
Lau didn't go into detail about what OnePlus did to make Warp Charge 30T faster, only saying that it "delivers 6A at 5V to attain 30W" like Warp Charge 30 before it.
There's also some bad news for folks hoping OnePlus might finally adopt wireless charging with the OnePlus 7T. Lau has confirmed that that feature won't be making it into the OP7T, saying,"Wireless charging doesn't currently offer the fast experience that we are comfortable adding to our devices."
The OnePlus 7T will make its official debut on September 26, and we already know that it'll have a triple rear camera setup, a 90Hz refresh rate, and Warp Charge 30T fast charging. The lack of wireless charging is sure to be a bummer for some, but OnePlus is likely hoping that by making its fast charge even faster, you'll just want to plug in and get more juice that way.
