Android 10 statue added to Google's campus

In the past, every new major version of Android brought with it a new statue on the Google campus to commemorate the release. Android 10 may not have a dessert name like previous versions of the OS, but that doesn't mean it won't be getting its own statue.

Google today erected an Android 10 statue, complete with a big number 10 and the head of an Android robot peeking out from inside the zero. The statue has also been signed by a number of Googlers.

While a number 10 may not make for quite as exciting a statue as a pie or lollipop, it is kind of nice to see Google continue the tradition of adding a statue to its campus to celebrate the launch of a major Android update. And for those Googlers who worked on Android 10, seeing the statue go up likely makes them proud of all the work they've put in on the update.
