Apple releases iOS 13 beta 4 update

Two weeks after Apple released its previous iOS 13 beta, another update has arrived.

iOS 13 beta 4 is now available. Registered developers can grab the update by going into Settings > General > Software Update on their device, or by pointing their computer's web browser at the Apple Developer Center.

There's no new iOS 13 public beta update available right now, but we should see one released in the coming days.

iOS 13 brings major changes like a system-wide dark mode, improved Apple Maps, a less obtrusive volume indicator, and an updated version of CarPlay. Apple is also adding swiping support to its virtual keyboard, and there are some new Animoji characters, too. Other notable improvements include a new photo editing interface, Sign In with Apple for improved security with third-party apps, and a better share sheet.

iPadOS adds even more goodies for iPad users. Those include an improved home screen that lets you see your Today View widgets and the ability to see more apps on a single home screen page. You can also run multiple instances of the same app at once. The iPad is getting better support for peripherals, too, including the ability to work with USB drives and SD cards as well as mouse support.

iOS 13 will launch to the public this fall. Which new features are you most excited for?
