People love to share GIFs, photos, and videos online, and today Twitter updated its service with a new feature that'll let users express themselves in that way.
Twitter now supports the ability to retweet with a GIF, photo, or video. With this feature, you can retweet something and add your own GIF, photo, or video as a reaction to whatever tweet you're sharing, helping to make your retweet a bit more personal.
The official Twitter Design account posted a thread showing how this feature was developed after many users asked for it. Ultimately, the design was settled and includes a clearer visual hierarchy with a condensed inner tweet, the avater in the inner tweet to help you see who's talking, nad a simple box container to make it easier to interact.
This feature is now rolling out in the Twitter apps for Android and iOS as well as mobile browsers. Twitter also teased today that it's working on making retweets with media more interactive and easier to read, and that improvement is coming soon.
