Samsung Galaxy View 2 renders leak, show off 17.5-inch display

Last year, a rumor claimed that Samsung is working on a new version of the Galaxy View, an Android tablet that launched in 2015 with an 18.4-inch screen. We haven't heard much about the Galaxy View 2 since then, but that's changing today.

New renders that reportedly show the Samsung Galaxy View 2 have leaked out. This is the AT&T version, says SamMobile, and we can see branding for the big blue carrier both on the lock screen and on the back of the tablet. A Wi-Fi version is also said to be in the works. The device has a kickstand that can prop the tablet up, and there's a hole in the kickstand to help you grip the tablet while you're moving it.

The Galaxy View 2 is expected to have a 17.5-inch 1080p display, which would be a tad smaller than the 18.4-inch screen on the original Galaxy View. Other rumored specs include a Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, and USB-C charging.

With its huge display, the Galaxy View 2 could be a good option for folks who like to use their tablet for watching movies, sports, and other content around their house. With a 17.5-inch screen, it's not likely that you'll want to carry it around with you outside of the house much, but it could give you a nice big screen for watching videos in places around your house that don't have a TV.

There's no word yet on when the Galaxy View 2 might launch, but now that renders have been made, a release could be getting close. Are you interested in the Galaxy View 2?
