Apple's new iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch models will soon be available from Amazon

One year ago, we saw Amazon begin selling the Apple TV, giving consumers interested in Apple's set-top box another place to buy one. Now Amazon is expanding its selection of Apple products even further.

Amazon confirmed today that it's expanding its selection of Apple products in the coming weeks. The retailer confirmed to CNET that it'll begin selling devices like the new iPad Pro, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, Apple Watch Series 4, and Apple's Beats headphones. The devices will be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India. One product that won't be coming to Amazon is the HomePod, likely because it's competition for Amazon's Echo series of smart speakers.

"Amazon is constantly working to enhance the customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing selection of the products we know customers want," Amazon said. "We look forward to expanding our assortment of Apple and Beats products globally."

This news also means that only Apple-authorized resellers will be allowed to sell Apple and Beats products on Amazon's marketplace. Indepedent sellers who want to sell new and used Apple products on Amazon will have those listings removed after January 4, 2019, and they'll have to apply with Apple to become authorized resellers on Amazon if they want to continue selling Apple products.

There is currently a range of Apple products available on Amazon, but some of them are being sold by third-party resellers at varying prices and conditions. This can make it tough for a consumer to be confident in their purchase, though, as they might be buying from some person or retailer that they've never heard of. With this new deal, customers can be sure that they're getting a real Apple product at the right price from Amazon, which is important when you're buying an expensive new piece of tech gear.
