LG K30 now available from T-Mobile with 5.3-inch display, 600MHz LTE support

Days after LG announced a new flagship smartphone, T-Mobile and LG have teamed up to launch a more affordable device.

The LG K30 is now available from T-Mobile. Pricing is set at $9 down and $9 per month for 24 months, or $225 full retail.

One of the highlight features of the LG K30 is its support for T-Mobile's 600MHz LTE network. There are only a few other T-Mobile phones that support 600MHz LTE right now, and those are all expensive flagship models, which is why the arrival of the K30 is a big deal.

T-Mobile began rolling out its 600MHz LTE coverage in August last year, and the carrier now says that 600MHz covers 823 cities in 31 states. The benefit of 600MHz is that it helps T-Mobile's LTE signal reach farther and better penetrate buildings.

Getting back to the LG K30, the device features a 5.3-inch 1280x720 display, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, and a rear fingerprint reader. Inside its body is a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2880mAh battery.

The LG K30 comes with 32GB of built-in storage, 23.65GB of which is available to the user. There's also a microSD card slot if you need additional storage. Rounding things out is a 3.5mm headphone jack and Android 7.1 Nougat.
