Samsung Gear IconX (2018) update adds better file transfer, Ambient Sound feature, and more

Samsung's Gear IconX (2018) launched last year as fitness-focused earbuds for people that don't want to be distracted by wires when they're walking, running, or doing any other workout. And now Samsung is making those earbuds better with a new update.

Samsung's new update for its Gear IconX (2018) earbuds is now available. Included is a new Equalizer feature that'll let you quickly adjust your audio's frequency by activating one of five presets: Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble Boost.

Also included are new features to make it easier for Gear IconX (2018) wearers to hear the world around them. An Ambient Sound feature will let you specify the amount of sound you want to let in so that you can better know what's going on when you're exercising outdoors, while a Voice Focus feature will amplify the voices of people around you.

Improvements made to the Gear IconX (2018)'s wireless file transfer will let you send multiple MP3 files to your earbuds at the same time using Bluetooth. Finally, an option to lock the touchpad on the Gear IconX (2018) after 30 seconds or during workouts will help to prevent accidental track changes.

This update is now available through the Samsung Gear app, so if you've got a pair of Gear IconX (2018) earbuds, go grab it.
