Two new BlackBerry phones coming in 2018, U.S. BlackBerry Motion launch and KEYone Bronze Edition due in Q1

TCL today has a few BlackBerry announcements to make today

TCL plans to launch at least two new BlackBerry smartphones in 2018. No other details about these products have been announced, but TCL does have some news about two existing BlackBerry handsets.

First up, the GSM BlackBerry Motion (pictured above) will launch in the U.S. on January 12th. It'll be sold online by Amazon and Best Buy at a price of $449.99.

As a refresher, the BlackBerry Motion is a full-touch device with a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 12-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, and 8-megapixel wide angle front-facing camera. There's an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor inside the BB Motion's IP67 water and dust resistant body as well as 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.

Rounding out the Motion's feature set is a 4,000mAh battery, USB-C, and Android 7.1. An update to Android 8.0 is planned.

Also coming soon is the BlackBerry KEYone Bronze Edition. This limited edition KEYone boasts a bronze finish and dual SIM slots. It'll be offered in select markets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East later in Q1 2018.

Aside from its new color, the BlackBerry KEYone Bronze Edition will be largely similar to the KEYone that's been on the market for awhile now. That means it's packing a 4.5-inch 1620x1080 screen, 12-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, and an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor.

Other features of the BlackBerry KEYone include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 3,505mAh battery, and USB-C. The KEYone also runs Android 7.1 and it, too, will be updated to Android 8.0.
