This holiday season is turning out to be a pretty good one for OnePlus 5 owners.
OnePlus announced today that it's now pushing the first official Android Oreo update for the OnePlus 5. This update includes a bump to Android 8.0 as well as a new Camera UI design, Wi-Fi optimizations, the December 2017 security optimizations, and more.

This update is now rolling out over the air. As with other OnePlus updates, though, it's an incremental rollout. That means that a small number of OnePlus 5 users will get it today, with more getting it in a few days.
That's not the only good news that OnePlus 5 owners are getting today. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the Face Unlock feature found on the OnePlus 5T is coming to the OnePlus 5. No timing for that update has been announced.
