Now that Apple has taken the wraps off of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, many folks are looking ahead to the reveal of Google’s new flagship smartphones. And it looks like that event may be less than one month away.
A Google billboard that reads “Ask more of your phone.” has been spotted in Boston, and it’s got the date “Oct. 4” at the bottom. That suggests that Google is planning to hold a phone-focused event on October 4th, exactly one year after the original Pixel and Pixel XL were announced.
Google hasn’t made any announcements regarding an October 4th event, so nothing is official quite yet, but an October 4th reveal for the new Pixel phones is certainly possible. Previous reports pegged October 5th as Pixel 2 Day, but event dates can always shift around before they’re official, so for now we’re going to circle October 4th in our calendar as the day that we may meet Google’s new Pixel flagships. And we’re definitely going to use pencil.
