AT&T Primetime is a new $200 tablet with Android 7.1.1

We don’t often see new Android tablets launch nowadays, but that’s precisely what’s happening on AT&T this week.

The AT&T Primetime is a new Android 7.1.1 tablet that’s launching this Friday, August 25th. Pricing will be set at $10 per month for 20 months, $29.99 with a two-year commitment, or $199.99 outright.

When it comes to specs, the AT&T Primetime is packing a 10-inch 1920x1080 display, 5-megapixel front and rear cameras, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot for adding more storage. There’s a Snapdragon 625 inside the Primetime as well as 2GB of RAM and a 9,070mAh battery.

AT&T is touting the Primetime as being “designed for entertainment”. The tablet includes a TV Mode to give you quick access to video apps by swiping from the home or lock screens, and there’s also support for using two Bluetooth headsets or speakers simultaneously. The AT&T Primetime also includes dual front-facing speakers if you’d prefer to watch your content without headphones.

At just $200, the AT&T Prime time could be worth a look if you’re in the market for a new Android tablet. It’s got decent specs for the price, and the dual front-facing speakers should make watching videos and listening to music more enjoyable than on a tablet with bottom-firing speakers.
