Virgin Mobile now only selling iPhones, offering year of service for just $1

Virgin Mobile revealed today that it’s undergoing a bit of a makeover.

The Sprint MVNO is refreshing both its plan and phone selections. When it comes to phones, Virgin Mobile now only sells iPhones. That includes the iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus.

To celebrate its refresh, Virgin Mobile is offering one year of service on its only rate plan for just $1. To get this deal, you’ll need to purchase an iPhone (the cheapest is the SE at $279) and sign up for the Inner Circle Plan with AutoPay. This deal will be available through July 31, 2017 and is available to new customers that bring their number to Virgin as well as existing Virgin customers who upgrade to an iPhone.

Also of note is that customers who sign up for the Inner Circle plan by September 30, 2017 get Virgin Perks. This includes a companion ticket for just taxes and fees when you buy a round-trip flight to the U.K. on Virgin Atlantic, an extra night at Virgin Hotels when you buy two nights, and discounts on Virgin Wines.

Virgin Mobile’s Inner Circle rate plan is normally priced at $50 per month with AutoPay for unlimited talk, text, and data. You’ll get 4G LTE data speeds with this plan, but your mobile video streams will be limited to 480p resolution, music streaming at 500kbps, and streaming cloud gaming at 2Mbps. Virgin also notes that if you use more than 23GB of data in one month, your data usage may be deprioritized during the remainder of that billing cycle.

Virgin also offers a couple of international calling add-ons. For $5 more per month, you can get unlimited calling to Mexico and Canada as well as unlimited worldwide texting. For $10 per month, you can get those features as well as unlimited calling to landlines in more than 70 countries, 200 minutes to select mobile phones in more than 50 countries, and reduced minute rates on calls to more than 200 destinations.
