Google Search is learning a new trick today.
Google has announced that Google Search can now help you find local events. The events will come from sites like Eventbrite, Meetup, and more, and they’ll be available in the Google app as well as on the mobile web.
To begin, you can search for things like “jazz concerts in Austin” or “art events this weekend.” You’ll then see details like the event name, date, time, and location. You can tap the event to get more details or buy tickets, or you can tap “More events” to see even more things that are happening.
You can also filter upcoming events by tapping the “Today”, “Tomorrow”, “This weekend”, and similar buttons at the top off the results. You can type “Events near me” to find events that are happening soon close to you, too.
