Google Allo update adds sticker suggestions, themes, and more

Allo is Google’s newest messaging app, and today Google is showing Allo some love by updating it with new features.

First up, Google Allo is gaining Smart Smiley, a feature that’ll suggest emojis and stickers to go with whatever you’ve typed. When you’re typing a message, you can tap the Smart Smiley button and Google will suggest relevant emojis and stickers to go with your message. You can also use Smart Smiley without typing anything to get emoji and sticker suggestions based on your conversation.

Speaking of stickers, Google is adding new stickers to Allo that are based on the new movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Finally, Google Allo is gaining background themes. These themes will add a personal touch to your chats with backgrounds like watermelon and pizza, colorful designs, or just a plain black background if that’s more your style.

Google Allo’s new features are rolling out to Android and iOS users today and will be available around the world in the coming days. Google also notes that Smart Smiley will only be available in English to start, but that support for more languages is coming soon.
