Acer announces a trio of new Android phones at IFA 2016

IFA doesn’t officially start for another couple of days, but that hasn’t stopped several companies from announcing new devices today.

Acer today took the wraps off of three new Android phones at IFA 2016. They are the Iconia Talk S, Liquid Z6, and Liquid Z6 Plus. Here’s what makes each of these new phones tick:

  • Iconia Talk S (shown above): 7-inch 1280x720 display, 13-megapixel rear camera, Android 6.0, quad-core processor, microSD slot, quad-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity, dual SIM slots, and support for phone calls. Will launch in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in September starting at €169 ($188 USD).
  • Liquid Z6 (below left): 5-inch 1920x1080 display, quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and Android 6.0. Will launch in EMEA in November starting at €119 ($132 USD).
  • Liquid Z6 Plus (below right): 5.5-inch 1920x1080 screen, octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, fingerprint reader, 4,080mAh battery, and Android 6.0. Will launch in EMEA in December starting at €249 ($277 USD).
